At Cherrydale Elementary School, we remain steadfast in our commitment to cultivating the World Class Skills outlined in the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate. Our instructional foundation is built to promote academic excellence while nurturing the essential life and career skills that prepare students not only for graduation but for success well beyond the classroom. Our mission is to provide a supportive and empowering learning environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential. Our faculty and staff are dedicated to our core belief: Every Student. Every Day. Whatever It Takes!
During the 2024–2025 school year, our educators have continued to participate in high-quality professional development across all content areas. These learning opportunities equip teachers with effective instructional strategies rooted in best practices. Our instructional approach emphasizes inquiry-based learning, hands-on experiences, and technology integration to promote deeper understanding and student engagement.
We strive to meet the individual needs of our learners by implementing personalized instruction through small group teaching, co-teaching models, classroom guidance, and tiered interventions. With 1:1 technology in place throughout the year, students have access to digital learning tools such as Lexia, Flocabulary, DreamBox, IXL, Reflex, and MobyMax to enrich and extend their learning experiences.
To support academic growth beyond the school day, Cherrydale offers a variety of extended learning opportunities, including Panther Academy, an afterschool program, and our Summer Enrichment program. We take pride in recognizing and celebrating student achievement and positive behavior through our Cherrydale House System, Trailblazer Awards, Student of the Month, and Terrific Kids programs.
As we look ahead, Cherrydale Elementary remains deeply committed to fostering a culture of excellence, ensuring that all students are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive as South Carolina graduates and future leaders.
