Thornwell School for the Arts: A Vision of Excellence, Unity, and Growth
Thornwell School for the Arts is committed to supporting all students in developing the World Class Skills of the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate by providing an inclusive, engaging, and rigorous educational experience.
Established in 2007 following the relocation of the former Thornwell Elementary and the introduction of the arts magnet program, our school is proudly located in Hartsville, South Carolina. Currently, we serve approximately 190 students in grades 1–5 as a Title I school. With a poverty rate of 94.7%, the highest in the Darlington County School District, and approximately 75% of our students from minority backgrounds, we are dedicated to creating equitable learning opportunities for all.
A New Era of Transformation
