At Ridgeland Secondary Academy of Excellence, we remain committed to helping all students develop the world class skills of the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate. Our teachers deliver instruction where rigor and relevance are at its core and that promotes creativity, innovation, collaboration, a strong work ethic, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
During the 2023-2024 school year, we saw growth in our students who consistently worked to top their classes, ace exams, and demonstrated a thirst for knowledge. We observed compassionate hearts at work and witnessed the rebirth of the Science Fair which revealed budding scientists who pushed boundaries and unraveled mysteries. Our auditorium resonated with melodies from grade level chorus classes and soloists along with the robust sounds of instrumental quartets. These achievements we witnessed were not just about trophies or certificates. They represent dedication, passion and the promise of a bright future.
Our Student Government Association collected and donated canned goods to the Hunger Free Zone of the Low Country again this year. Students enrolled in CTE courses successfully competed in Skills USA South Carolina where we earned first place in Interview Skills. Art students showcased their original works at the Claflin University High School Art Exhibition. Middle and high school students demonstrated their math mindedness in national math competitions. Our Related Arts Department held its first Related Arts Showcase where our students’ talents and knowledge were displayed in areas that support core academics. Our Aerospace Program students demonstrated their drone obstacle course at the SC CTE Showcase. 15 students were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society and RSAE’s varsity boys’ soccer team secured the Region 6AA Championship for the second year in a row.
The Jaguar family is committed to partnering with parents and the community to provide all students with a learning environment that enriches academic, vocational, and personal growth.
