Williams Middle School is committed to preparing students for high school and college endeavors by providing comprehensive foundational knowledge and skills, including extensive academic and athletic programs. Our focus on high-quality learning experiences extends to support the social, emotional, and mental development of our students resulting in a well-rounded education. As a Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence Beacon School Williams Middle School students are offered many avenues to success as exemplified by the following student achievements: Twelve recognitions as South Carolina Junior Scholars and 36 exemplary scores on the Algebra I End Of Course exam, and 21 honors on the National Spanish exam. Students are encouraged to explore a variety of fields including those related to STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics). Williams provides an array of courses aimed at identifying and encouraging student interest such as Medical Detectives, Robotics, and Flight & Space through Project Lead the Way. Our International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program provides an opportunity for students to engage in a rigorous international curriculum that inspires intellectual inquisitiveness and international mindedness. In addition to academics and sports, Williams Middle School students are offered a multitude of opportunities in the arts which include courses in Orchestra, Band, Dance, Art, Chorus, and Visual Arts. Williams students are inspired to participate and serve the school community by joining a variety of clubs that include Dance, Beta Club, Student Council, and our award-winning Academic Challenge Team where our faculty and staff assist students in turning their passions into purpose.
