Wade Hampton High School is helping all students develop the World Class Skills of the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate by providing a safe, caring, and academically challenging learning environment. To support all learners, our teachers work collaboratively in Professional Learning Communities to analyze student data and adjust instruction to meet diverse needs. We have built a strong Multi-Tiered System of Support that offers enrichment opportunities for advanced learners and targeted assistance for students who need additional help. Support includes in-class interventions, after-school tutoring with transportation, special education services, and access to academic technology tools.
Beyond the classroom, we emphasize student involvement in extracurricular activities that build confidence, leadership, and school pride. From athletics to academic teams, performing arts to robotics, and community service to STEAM initiatives—there’s a place for every student to connect and grow. Educational research consistently shows a positive link between student involvement and academic success, and we encourage all students to be active members of our school community.
At Wade Hampton High School, we believe success is a shared responsibility among students, staff, families, and the broader community. We are proud of our role in preparing future leaders for South Carolina and beyond and remain committed to helping every student reach their full potential.
