Ebinport Elementary is the home of the Eagles where legacy and tradition are recognized and celebrated. Ebinport was founded in 1949. Multiple generations of families send their students to Ebinport to experience first-hand the “Ebinport Way.”
Ebinport Elementary recognizes that we are a refuge for many students, and that is only achieved by treating students as individuals with their own thoughts, feelings, ideas, and emotions. The reality is we take the time to know children on a personal level and help guide them through productive struggle that builds resilience and independence preparing them to embody the profile of a South Carolina graduate.
When you enter the doors of Ebinport Elementary you are met with a diverse population, one that includes diverse races, ethnicities, religions, and cultures. An Ebinport Eagle understands that we are a family and that family will not only seek the absolute best from each other, but they do so with an accepting, caring and loving spirit. At Ebinport, students develop a deep sense of respect for each other, the environment, and the world at large. Ebinport values the contributions of individuals while engaging the heart, head, and hands in a deeply meaningful way that allows students to develop a love of learning, an intrinsic desire for discovery, and confidence in their ability to master anything.
During the 2024-2025 school year Ebinport Elementary will continue to be designated a Title I school. We attribute our academic and social/emotional growth to having master teachers at every grade level, involved families, and motivated students. Professional development opportunities included a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion while also focusing on providing enrichment opportunities for students with a focus on the area of mathematics. Additionally, our Reading and Math Coaches have provided customized professional development to teachers on a weekly basis. We continue to strive to serve our students and our families by doing whatever it takes to meet the needs of students.
In years past, we have focused on increasing parent communication. We plan to continue to work toward this goal in years to come; we know the importance of communicating with all stakeholders and feel it is necessary to keep this goal at the top of our priority list. Our public relations committee is intentional regarding the development and implementation of a plan for telling Ebinport's story using various media outlets. Ebinport has such great programs, students, and opportunities--capitalizing on telling our story is more important now than ever.
Ebinport is extremely grateful for the support we receive from families and the community. We are a school where children want to learn and teachers want to teach because of the commitment of all stakeholders. Ebinport Elementary: For Every Child a Chance. We welcome you to Ebinport, home of tradition, legacy, and excellence!
