Tigerville Elementary’s philosophy is grounded in one principle: children first.  This philosophy is what makes our culture the caring and nurturing environment that it is.  Children are at the core of all our planning and decision making.  When you enter Tigerville Elementary, you enter a place that feels happy and welcoming.  Our front office greets each visitor and immediately makes them feel at home.  We work to problem solve and pull together to meet each of our students’ needs.  Our main goal is to ensure that students feel safe, comfortable, encouraged, supported, and challenged.  Throughout the years, teachers and students have continued to exhibit extreme pride in Tigerville.  We attribute this pride to the efforts spent forming lasting relationships with our students and families. 

Tigerville Elementary School is helping all students develop world-class skills through the implementation of the Graduate and College and Career Readiness model.  This model aligns with our Graduation+ district initiative, technology integration, and real-world immersion with career paths for our students. Teachers plan, collaborate and instruct with a strong emphasis on the whole child and meeting each child’s personal needs with attention to their learning styles.  Tigerville students set goals, know their data, and participate in student-led conferences.  Through passionate leadership and a tenacious vision, a culture exists that embraces our philosophy through keeping our students first at all times with an emphasis on high achievement and personal growth. Due to the high level of commitment of our staff, students, and community, Tigerville Elementary was named a 2018 National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.
