Blue Ridge Middle School is a sixth, seventh, and eighth grade school located in the northwestern corner of South Carolina. As part of the Greenville County School District, Blue Ridge Middle has the largest geographical attendance area, currently serving 910 students.
Blue Ridge Middle School provides opportunities for students to take courses that offer high school credit Carnegie Units: Honors Algebra I, English I Honors, Spanish I, Art I, Google Basics/Google Multimedia, Geometry, and Desktop Publishing. Gifted and Talented offerings are available in Language Arts and Math through the Challenge Program as well. Blue Ridge also offers a variety of extracurricular activities. Teams include baseball, softball, soccer, basketball, and girls’ volleyball.
Students are given the opportunity to audition for and participate in a school-wide theatrical performance each year.
Accomplishments for 2017.18
-The passage rate for End of Course testing for Algebra I and English I was above 90% for 2017.18 school year.
-Beta Club-members have logged many service hours in the community this year helping groups such as Special Olympics.
-Beta Club has continued to place well in competitions at the state conference.
-Beta Club raised money for the Leukemia Society through our annual Pennies for Patients campaign.
-Greenville County Middle School Art Exhibition had several students place.
-South Carolina Performance Assessment superior rating for the band was achieved.
- 2017 Girls Basketball District Champions.
-2017 Girl softball were NW Region Champions.
-Student Council collected canned goods to support local food pantries.
