Embracing our motto, “Commitment to Excellence,” we partner with our community, students, parents, and staff to ensure the continuation of providing a world class 21st century education. Camden High School promotes the characteristics of the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate by developing academic, career, and life skills in all students. We are determined to ensure successful and productive futures for our young people.

We continue to work on phase two for the Mathematical Design Collaborative and the Literacy Design Collaborative to ensure career and college readiness with a focus on high quality, engaging instruction. Our instruction focuses on student engagement, technology infusion, critical thinking, and academic writing to prepare our students for their place in a global society. We maximize technology infusion with our district i-Can initiative by putting a computer in the hand of every teacher and student. Our Bulldog Reads initiative incorporates our One Book, Everyone Reads, Strive for Five Challenge that is extended to encourage reading among students, parents, faculty, and staff.

In addition to our commitment to excellence in the classroom, we excel in athletics, extracurricular activities, and community service. Our weekly PTL Tuesdays keep teachers current with the latest trends in best practices, literacy, leadership, technology infusion, writing instruction and student engagement. Through our athletic program, we celebrated Region Championships in volleyball, boy’s and girl’s cross country, boy’s and girl’s tennis, boy’s basketball, girl’s soccer, boy’s and girl’s track, boy’s and girl’s golf, girl’s softball, and boy’s baseball. Our staff and students have served in the community by raising money for United Way, committing to Relay for Life, mentoring in the elementary and middle schools, promoting Dig Pink for Cancer Awareness, partnering with Habitat for Humanity Homes, and representing the school at the 2nd Annual Camden High School Hall of Fame.

Because Camden High School is committed to partnering with our students, parents, staff, and community to ensure the success of our students in an ever-changing global market, we continue to strive and excel as a 21st century school of excellence.
