Fairfield Elementary School is helping all students develop the world class skills of the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate by ensuring that we focus on the diverse social, academic and emotional needs of our students. More importantly, for the 2017-2018 school year, our stakeholders embarked on a journey through collaboration, creativity and communication.
Stellar Stingrays possess World-Class Knowledge by participating in various competitions and learning tasks that allow them to demonstrate their understanding of rigorous standards by applying what they have mastered throughout the year. The leadership team and teacher leaders work collaboratively in professional learning communities that allow for opportunities to reflect and dissect the data. Through the use of data and reflection, decisions are made on how to meet the academic needs of our students. Stellar Stingrays obtain World-Class Skills by using their creative talents and skills to think critically and solve real-life problems. Through the use of the arts, students have opportunities to collaborate with their peers and use real-life skills to be creative. Numerous opportunities are given for students to collaborate and work as a team in learning clubs. Students also have multiple opportunities to communicate, research information, and use technology to learn, which fosters student engagement.
