This past year, 9 of our STEM Early College Academy seniors graduated with a two year associate’s degree and a high school diploma. High school students are afforded the opportunity to take Advanced Placement classes, dual credit courses offered by Midlands Technical College and are exposed to Project Lead the Way (PLTW), a rigorous STEM curriculum where students employ innovative, creative and critical thinking that exhibits the qualities and skills for the global workplace. Over 80% of our graduating seniors were accepted to a 2 or 4 year institution and received over $13.4 million in scholarships and financial aid. Our 2017 graduation rate was 91% which exceeded the state average of 85%.
Fairfield County School District recognizes it is equally important to educate the whole child and pride ourselves on the fact that we offer exceptional opportunities in technology, robotics, engineering, arts and athletics, where students can further develop their talents, strengths, responsibility, self-discipline, and perseverance in achieving personal goals. Administration along with all school employees and students work closely together to create a culture of continuous improvement in all areas.
