Greenwood School District 52 remains committed to preparing every student with the world-class skills and essential life characteristics needed for success beyond graduation, in alignment with the South Carolina Profile of the Graduate. Thanks to the unwavering dedication of our district’s exceptional teachers, faculty, and staff, who continue to make a meaningful difference in our students’ lives.
This past year brought several milestones that reflect the continued growth and progress of our district. The Ninety Six Wildcats Multiplex continues to serve as a central hub for our athletic programs, state champion marching band, and district operations. The renovated facility has expanded opportunities for professional development and collaboration among our teachers and staff. The facility is still available for community use, helping us strengthen our partnerships and engage residents and citizens across our district.
This school year, we also celebrated the Ninety Six High School Wildcat Marching Band, which secured yet another state championship title in October under the leadership of Director David Vickery. With this latest victory—their 13th state championship—the Wildcat Marching Band continues to hold the record for the most 1A State Championships in South Carolina history. This achievement reflects the hard work and talent of Mr. Vickery and his dedicated students.
Our district also celebrated outstanding 2025 State School Report Card ratings, with two schools earning Excellent ratings and one earning a long history of strong Good ratings. These results show we’re committed to giving teachers the resources they need to make a lasting impact on student success.
Academically, our district has a long history of strong performance on state assessments and end-of-course testing. Our students continue to achieve outstanding results across all grade levels, demonstrating the dedication of both our learners and educators.
Our students continue to perform at high levels on state assessments and end-of-course exams, demonstrating both achievement and growth across grade levels. Our district outperformed the state average scores in Math in Grades 4-8. Our district also exceeded the state average scores in Grades 3 - 4 and Grades 7 - 8, meeting or exceeding standards in ELA. The trend of outperforming the state average in meeting or exceeding standards also continued in the Science subject area for Grades 4 and 6.
As we look ahead, Greenwood School District 52 remains focused on building upon this momentum. We are committed to providing a high-quality educational experience that prepares students for success in college, careers, and life. Through continued collaboration with our families, staff, and community partners, we will ensure that every student is supported and empowered to reach their full potential.
Together, we will continue to strengthen our district and build a future defined by excellence, opportunity, and pride for all.
